Getting Started
This guide shows how to go from a new account to a business that can send and receive money.
1. Create your account
Sign in with your email address. If a teammate or a platform already invited you, use the email address that received the invitation. Pending invitations and payouts then attach to your account automatically.
2. Create or join a business
A business is the workspace that holds your balance, invoices, and payout activity. Create one from the dashboard, or accept an invitation to join an existing business from the Invitations page. The invitation badge in the sidebar shows pending invitations.
3. Finish setup
A business must complete setup before it can move money. When steps remain, a Finish setup item appears at the top of the sidebar. Setup includes:
- Verification. Confirm the identity of the owner, or verify the business itself. You can fill in the business details from its website and public company records, and the form can suggest the industry code. Sections that move money stay disabled until verification is complete.
- Payout setup. Set where the business receives funds.
Verification is usually approved quickly. It can take longer if documents need review. See the FAQ if you get stuck. Prefer to talk it through? Choose Schedule a call with the team on the business setup screen or at the bottom of the sidebar.
4. Invite your team
From Settings → Team, invite teammates by email and give each one a role. Viewers can see everything but cannot change anything. Editors can also create invoices, manage payees, add funds, and send remittances. Admins can also manage the team, use Send payment, withdraw, and edit the business profile. A teammate who does not have an Oncade account yet can claim their seat when they sign up with the invited email address.
5. Turn on two-factor authentication
Two-factor authentication adds a second check when you sign in and before sensitive actions. Turn it on from your profile as soon as your account is set up. This matters most for accounts that can send payouts.
Refer a business
Every account has its own referral link on the Refer a business page in the sidebar. You do not need a business to use it. Copy the link, or share it from your phone. Anyone who opens an Oncade account through it is counted there.
The page shows how many people opened your link, how many signed up, and how many of them created a business. The list of people you referred shows when each one signed up and where their business is: Signed up (no business yet), Setting up (business created, verification not finished), or Verified (the business can move money). If Oncade turns your link off, people who open it are no longer counted. Your past sign-ups stay on the page.
